Norton House Wedding DJ
This Sunday past I had the pleasure of DJing at a Gibraltarian wedding. This was a first for me where all 100 Guests had travelled to sunny Scotland from the slightly warmer climate of Gibraltar to experience our beautiful country. The venue, Norton House Hotel which is situation just on the outskirts of Edinburgh has serval suites to host weddings. On this occasion I was in the Garden Suite. This 1840’s built house is one of Scotlands top wedding venues and with the weather playing ball our Gibraltarian visitors were in for a treat.
Spanish
There was a fair few requests with a Spanish influence which was really new to me. I must say though I really enjoyed playing that latin style of music. Who know if or when I’ll get to play music like that again.
Of course, this is Scotland and I had to introduce them to some of our local Scottish culture at a Wedding. We finished the night off with Runrig’s Loch Lomond, this was completely new to all the guests but they gave it a very good effort for a first attempt.
My favourite part of the evening was captured in this short video when I played the proclaimers 500 miles. Not actually a track I play that often but got an outing twice this weekend.
